“Strength is not merely the absence of weakness or pain, but the balance of mind, body and spirit”

Did you know that an average career of a personal trainer is six months.  Only 1% make it to year 10.  Dan Kayser has been in business for over 20 years now and today he’s one of the most successful trainers in Hawaii and one of the leading experts on fascia and biomechanics (study of human movement) helping numerous athletes excel in their sports, receive scholarships as well as set world records.   Not counting a waiting list of future students, currently his clientele ranges from 6 to 87 being his eldest.  It wasn’t always like this for coach Dan.  8 years ago He was involved in a car accident that left him with so much pain in his back that no physical therapist nor chiropractors, not even he himself could fix the issue.  Facing back surgery with a success rate of 30%, He decided to learn a different approach to training, fixing and healing his body.  Dan was able to avoid surgery by fixing all the underlining issues causing his back pain and today he has helped everyone that has turned to him for not only back pain but many other types of physical dysfunctions, delivering results regardless of their condition or lifestyle. Everyone benefits from this powerful method of taking care of their health through his unique approach to body mind and spirit connection.

What Separates Us from the Rest:

We don’t focus on breaking down your body with hundreds of aimless exercises in order to work up a sweat. We employ correct progression and periodization in our completely personalized program designs, using effective techniques to ensure that all of your muscles are in neutral alignment and firing off properly.

When we lift weights with bad posture we're only strengthening our bad posture! Proper human biomechanics is not just a privilege, it is our right as human beings.

Kayser Kettlebell Club is here to facilitate that movement in every possible manner. With use of current research and the latest findings along with input from our ever-growing network of conscious coaches around the world, our mission is to provide you with the best resources and equipment in order to optimize your human potential on all levels imaginable.

What We Do:

1. First thing you’ll notice is there are no shoes allowed in our facility. Our feet, particularly the big toe, is of utmost importance for all moving athletes. If an athlete is incapable of transferring his or her force through the foot, or rather the big toe, as it happens to be the last piece of the human body to leave the ground while in motion, at the very least, performance will suffer, worst case being, injury to the foot. At Kayser Fitness Institute, you will strengthen everything from your toes to your fingers.

2. Our screen will reveal not just muscular imbalances and asymmetries, but all restrictions that will compromise proper human movement and cause poor performance and onset of injuries.

3. You will learn the importance of fascia and how to take care of entire fascial meridian system, particularly fascia of the lumbopelvic region (hips and lower back) and that of your upper body. Your hips and shoulders have a range of motion of 360 degrees and are directly connected in variety of ways, one being the back functional line.

4. What is core? (whatever is leftover if you cut of your limbs and head from the body) You will enjoy having a fully integrated core and learn about deeper stabilizers such as transverse abdominis and inner obliques, as well as why sit-ups are terrible for your posture.

5. Our mobility routine is a must for all healthy joints. Along with myofascial release and core activation drills, you will implement our mobility drills during each training session.

6. Human beings are meant to move in 3 planes of motion: frontal, (front and back) sagittal (left and right) and transverse (rotational). 90 percent of human movement includes transverse plane of motion while 90 percent of all conventional weight lifting exercise take place in either frontal or sagittal only. One of the most neglected concepts in the fitness industry is proper rotation of thoracic (mid back) spine. Once compromised, your body will rotate through other avenues such as your lumbar spine, (lower back) hips, knees, and feet causing pain with every step that you make, in at least one of those joints. At Kayser Fitness Institute we train in all planes of motions, our advanced students utilize exercises in multiple planes of motion such as in life.

7. Even though we love kettlebells and yoga, your coach is trained to use all types of resistance training modalities, so we’ll have no problem helping you find whatever you are comfortable with on your path to a stronger body.

8. For the basic class blueprint, please refer to our services page.

9. There are always risks of injury associated with weight training. By teaching our member how to listen to and take care of their bodies properly, they enjoy the lowest rate of injury possible. After all, the reason we exercise is to avoid getting injured doing all the fun activates we all enjoy outside of the gym. We feel that if you’re getting hurt in the gym, clearly something is being overlooked. We can comfortably say, that we leave no stone unturned.

10. Yoga is a big part of what we do when the tissue lacks in length or flexibility.
